The Ultimate Guide to Acing Your Warehouse Interview
Warehouse interviews are short and practical. Show up ready for these questions and you'll stand out.
Most warehouse interviews last 20–30 minutes and focus on three things: reliability, physical capability and safety awareness. Show strength in all three and you're most of the way there.
Common questions and strong answers: 'Tell me about a time you hit a tight deadline' — describe a specific shift where you stayed focused and hit your pick rate. Concrete beats vague every time.
'How do you handle repetitive tasks?' Warehouse work is repetitive. The right answer isn't 'I love it' — it's 'I use consistency to build speed without sacrificing accuracy. Repetition helps me identify and fix inefficiencies.'
'What do you know about warehouse safety?' Mention WHMIS, lockout/tagout procedures, proper lifting technique and PPE. Even basic safety knowledge separates you from candidates who skip this.
Dress for the job. Steel-toes, clean work clothes — even for an interview. It signals you're ready to start immediately. Bring a copy of your resume and any certifications (forklift, WHMIS, etc.).
